So as of September 15th I am resigning my job at Zellers, after four years. When I broke the news as work yesterday, most people didn't believe me, except for our human resources manager who threw a box of Kleenex at me and tried for two and a half hours to talk me out of it. My status on Facebook has received 7 "likes" and 16 comments. So far.
As of September 10th I will be working at Bolen Books, which is also the mall but a totally different place. I'm happy to be out of Zellers and try something new, and I think Bolen's will be a really fun place to work. I have a few friends who work there and say they all really like it.
The concept of starting a new job is pretty intense, but I'm more than ready to move onto something else work-wise and I think I will be a lot happier there. It's weird having to start at the bottom of the ladder again, but everyone at Zellers told me that no matter where I go, I'll excel, so I'm not too concerned.
I guess that's all I really have to say. When I went to write this post, it seemed like I had more to write. Oh well.
